Write for humans. Make answers easy to extract.
Good answer-engine content tends to be good reference content: clear, specific, structured and supported.
Answer first. State the useful answer near the beginning of the relevant section, then add nuance.
Use specific language. Concrete names, quantities, dates and definitions are easier to understand than vague copy.
Add information worth citing. First-hand tests, original datasets, expert explanations and primary-source references give a page a reason to exist.
Keep sections self-contained. A descriptive heading followed by a focused explanation is easier to navigate than one giant block of prose.
Update genuinely. Change dates when the substance changes, not simply to manufacture freshness.
